Bible College of Wales : Sketty Isaf - A Call to Intercessors (Anne G.)

December 2nd 2013

Dear Intercessor

Thank you again for standing with us as we have continued to press in for Sketty Isaf. We have received a number of very encouraging emails from intercessors in various countries over the past few weeks as well as from the UK, and have felt such a strong sense of the presence of God and His peace as we have interceded and prayed prophetically around the site.

We have also been praying about the next step and believe that the Lord is leading us to do a Jericho March over the next seven days. We’ll be walking  around the perimeter of Sketty Isaf every morning, from tomorrow,Tuesday 3rd to Monday 9th December when we’ll walk round seven times. We’ll follow the basic pattern as in Joshua 6 with the blowing of shofars during the walk and the final long blast at the end. Again we would value your prayers in whatever way you feel led, and if you are within travelling distance it would be great to see you.  Further details of the times are below.

Please do pass this email on to any intercessors you think may be interested, (an information sheet is attached), and contact me if you would like further information.

Every Blessing,

Ann Griffiths

[ Recent History ]

The Bible College has seen a change of hands over recent years. The main site, Derwen Fawr, was purchased by Cornerstone Community Church, Singapore in December 2012 and they have a vision that is very much in line with that of Rees Howells. They are currently renovating the premises and will be setting up a Bible School on the site once again, a Centre of Prayer, Residential Accommodation and a Heritage Centre. Sketty Isaf, the other half of the Bible College, is due to be sold, and planning permission for a housing development is currently being sought by the owners, Global Horizons www.global-horizons.org before they put it on the market. The income generated will enable them to expand their missions work around the world.

However the Lord has laid it on many people’s hearts to reclaim and restore Sketty Isaf for the work of the Kingdom. We are seeing signs of revival and new stirrings in Wales, and we believe that the Bible College will be part of that infra-structure that God is raising up all over the world in preparation for a last, great end-time revival.

I believe, like very many others that the site could be used to complement the ministry of Cornerstone Church. It could provide extra accommodation for the many visitors that are likely to visit from around the world - for conferences , to spend time in the Prayer Centre, as students of the Bible School, or to have time apart to seek God. It would be a place where believers would be refreshed, renewed and find healing. Missionaries on furlough, leaders, churches and ministries could all benefit and there is ample space for development on this beautiful site.

Over the past few months I have been mobilising intercessors to pray for Sketty Isaf and have been very encouraged by the response worldwide. Local intercessors as well as a worldwide network are praying for Sketty Isaf.
