Signs to Substance

And God said, "Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years.” (Genesis 1:14)

God created lights to mark sacred times
God created and has appointed the sun, moon and stars to show signs from the creation of the world, in order to show his sacred times and seasons to fulfil his eternal purposes. Although God has shown his signs through his creations, we often ignore or oppose these signs because of astrology/ horoscopes
or sun-worship or moon-worship religions, etc.. Now, however, is the time to listen to God and to look at the signs in order to discern and pursue his eternal purposes, as the wise-men followed the star to see the new born King of kings.

Signs lead us to Substances
We are not to pursue or follow the signs, instead we are following Him and pursuing His eternal purposes. Normally signs take us to substances; like shops' signs. If there is no sign and we never been before, it is difficult for us to find new places. Of course, if we have been before, we may not need map or signs.

We never been before in this history, so we may need signs to pursue his purposes. At the same time we need to be aware of false signs that distract and deceive us. Therefore we need to discern the signs first and follow God's signs. That's why we have to look up the Bible Scriptures.

red moonA BIG SIGN will be again in the SKY and on EARTH:
Bloody Moon

"Immediately after the distress of those days " 'the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.' "Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. (Matthew 24:29-30)

The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the Lord has said, even among the survivors whom the Lord calls. (Joel 2:29-30)

God's timing & God's signs with Israel

Three of these occurrences were connected to 1492 (the final year of the Spanish Inquisition), 1948 (statehood for Israel and the War of Independence), and 1967 (the Six-Day War) - some of the most significant days in modern Jewish history.

The others were in 162/163 A.D., 795/796 A.D., 842/843 A.D. and 860/861 A.D. We don’t have any historical connections for these years at this time, but we do know of significant Jewish persecution during the eighth and ninth centuries.

In all eight examples, the eclipses have fallen or will fall on the first day of Passover and Sukkot. The eighth occurrence of back-to-back, blood-red moons will be in 2014–2015.

So what does the period of time from 2014 to 2015 portend for Israel and the world?

Three sets of blood-red moons that corresponded to significant events:
The final year of the Spanish Inquisition, 1492, when the Alhambra Decree ordered all remaining Jews who would not convert to Christianity to leave Spain, the 1948 War of Independence and the 1967 Six-Day War all had back-to-back, blood-red moons occur on the first day of Passover and Sukkot the following two years or beginning the same year of the 1967 Six-Day War for two years.

The Blood-Red Moon, the Temple Mount and the Bible

Other interesting facts

* Passover is the first annual feast
* Sukkoth is the seventh and final annual feast

* The sabbatical year in the seven-year cycle begins on Rosh Hashanah on 25 September, 2014, and ends on Rosh Hashanah on 13-14 September, 2015 — the day of a partial solar eclipse

There were no astronomical back-to-back blood-red moon events in the 1800s, the 1700s or the 1600s. In the 1500s, there were six, but none of those fell on Passover and Sukkoth. The 2014/2015 events will be the last this century. (Source is from.... http://www.watch.org/showart.php3?idx=104119)
