Separate to Operate
And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?" that is, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?" (Matthew 27:46)
God separated himself from his Son, Jesus, and Jesus' body was separated, so that the covenant of God may be established.
1. Separation is a painful operation but powerful operation
separation normally gives a negative, painful impression but it makes a very powerful impact. If we want to go forward, we have to separate ourselves from our past, whether it is good or bad. In the beginning, when God created, he separated things in order to create new things. Even Jesus separated himself from His Father to come to the earth to redeem us.
2. Dwelling on the past or separating myself into the future of God
We must not dwell on the past. It is comfortable to dwell on our past, whether it is good or bad, because we have already been there; but it is challenging to move to the future because we don’t know our future and we’ve never been there before. We can only separate ourselves from the past and move to the future by faith in hope. If this separation is based on emotion or situation, it is likely to go into a fatal destruction. But if it is based on God’s word or the inner conviction of God, it leads into life, growth and building the Kingdom of God.
Seven years ago, I was separated completely from all my routine life by my illness: TB. If I hadn’t got ill, I would have stayed on my routine life. I paid nearly my life's price to be separated into my new journey of faith. I am still on the way to full recovery, but since that separation God has been leading me into various interesting journeys, including the FORGE vision.
3. If God is my refuge, I should be a fugitive
David says that God is his refuge, which means he is a refugee or fugitive. He always separated himself into God whether he was in the wilderness or in the palace. God separated Abraham into His promised land and eternal purposes from the land of his father and his own people, even his father's household. He did the same with Moses, Simon Peter, Paul, etc.
4. Fugitives have no way to go back to where they used to be
Fugitives have no way to go back to where they used to be, only they need to find refuges. The refuge, our God, is not a passive place of hiding but a very active place of preparing for a war. David used to walk on plains but later ran on high places after spending time in the refuge. He used to bend a wooden bow but then could bend a bow of bronze. God trains and equips his fugitives in the refuge; in himself, where there are rest and restoration.
Therefore if we want to be a warrior bride, we have to separate ourselves from the past and present: places, possession, and positions, in order to run into the refuge, rather than staying and playing in a comfortable plain with a wooden bow. Otherwise we will turn around and walk away sorrowfully from the Lord. (Matthew 19:22)
“It is God who arms me with strength, And makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of deer, and sets me on my high places. He teaches my hands to make war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.” (Psalm 18:32-34)
“Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience. For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:11-12)
[ Don't Read the Book Any More! : Rees Howells, Intercessor]
On 2nd July was my 50th birthday. I didn't want to be among party animals, so I went to the Black Mountain with my tent for three days. I started reading the book again. When I finished the chapter 8, God told me to stop reading the book, instead of living out the love that Rees Howells lived out. God wanted me to excise what I had read about Rees loving the homeless, the tramps and the outcast, which is written in the previous chapters. God showed me two specific people, whose lives need a lot of care. When I returned home, guess what? The two people phoned and turned up our house. God amusingly told me, “ These are your present homework.” It seems that God is not interested in my ministries but my love towards the unwanted ones. It is not easy homework but it is possible. So I am on this journey of love.
[ Faith & Rest in the Forge in Wales (Testimony) ]
Surely I had true joy in His love, even though mission work was very difficult and hard. Later on I found myself to be totally exhausted because my partnership with the Lord on the mission field changed into a repetitive burden that I had to carry. But now I have stopped trying with my human mind to plan systematic solutions to the given situations that I find myself in, in order to prove my own ability to others. God gave me a death ending: busyness and work that led only to frustration, and also the pain of thorns. Those were in the soil of my heart that I couldn’t give rest. Because I am trusting in Him now, I can rest from doing my own work. But I hope that His kingdom’s story from heaven above, that I listen to every day from his heart, may come true under heaven through my daily creative journey of faith.
I can see that sitting at the feet of Jesus, meditating thoroughly on the Word, responding to His voice through deep dialogue, trust, surrender and obeying through the cross as a daily journey make me fully alive. Also, communal life with The Forge team continually challenges me and renews my spirit, mind and body just as a sword is refined in the smelting furnace and pounded with the hammer.
Especially, in pursuing Rees Howells spiritual inheritance, I have come to understand more deeply about a "Lifestyle of Worship, Intercession and Mission" and "God’s divine purpose for Israel and the nations." (Testimonies video clips)

[ Prayer & Intercession ]
What is the Destiny of Egypt? Egypt has been a womb for many occasions. Abraham went down to Egypt and he became a very rich man when he returned to Canaan. Joseph's life was completely transformed in her womb. Israel as a nation was formed in Egypt and came out of her womb. Jesus and his parents fled to Egypt and he was brought up there for a while. The early desert fathers were born and their prayers and intercessions are still there, in order to be picked up for a such time as this. And it will be for a sign and for a witness to the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt; for they will cry to the LORD because of the oppressors, and He will send them a Saviour and a Mighty One, and He will deliver them. Then the LORD will be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians will know the LORD in that day, and will make sacrifice and offering; yes, they will make a vow to the LORD and perform it.(Isaiah 19:20-21) |
Smiling Iranian President: New Face, Old Ways Iran's role is so crucial in the Middle East and beyond, so the spirit has been holding the country as a stronghold. But God has been raising Iranians inside and outside Iran for the Kingdom of God, although their Islamic leaders have been against Israel and Christians. Pray that God will send a spirit of confusion to the political and religious leaders of Iran to confound the enemy, and a spirit of clarity and boldness to Iranian Christians, releasing signs, wonders and dreams among Muslims. Pray that God may raise modern day Daniels, his 3 friends, Esthers and Mordecais like in that ancient land of Persia, so that God's purpose may be fulfilled. In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian will come into Egypt and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians will serve with the Assyrians. In that day Israel will be one of three with Egypt and Assyria--a blessing in the midst of the land, whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, "Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance." (Isaiah 19:23-25) |
Later on I called my younger son Yohan to come to the Blue Room with me because his conception and birth are deeply related to our journey of faith. I took a couple of photos of him in the room and I saw a card on the top of fire place. As soon as I looked at it, God spoke to me loudly and firmly. “Place All on the Altar!” On that card there were a few Bible scriptures and this hand writing. Only this sentence jumped out to me and convicted me. Later on I found that a lady sent this card last November from Penllergaer area. Isn't it interesting? One day I heard “Go back to the Beginning!” and the next day “Place All on the Altar!” In January 2009, our family started going to the BCW sites every Sunday according to God's conviction, that he wanted us to redeem and restore the SPIRITUAL INHERITANCE of Rees Howells. Then the BCW sites were closed down and the college moved to England in July 2009. From that point I felt that God wanted us to redeem and restore the PHYSICAL PROPERTIES too, as part of the inheritance. Thankfully one of these has now been purchased and is being restored by Cornerstone Community Church, Singapore. So “Go back to the beginning” might mean that this journey is to redeem and restore the spiritual inheritance of Rees Howells only. Although I still don't know a lot of things, what I know is that I have to place all on the altar and I have placed BCW sites on the altar. Of course it was so hard for me but obedience is better than sacrifice. It looks like my 4 years and 4 months intercessory journey with BCW sites has come to an end, although we are still pursuing Rees Howells spiritual inheritance and the picking up the baton of equipping Jews and Gentiles for the last harvest fields. Also we are praying for Cornerstone Community Church in Singapore and Mark who is responsible for the project on BCW site in Swansea. |

God has called us to redeem the inheritance of Rees Howells the intercessor. We started this journey January 2009 and the 1st School of Faith was December 2012 for 2 weeks and the 2nd School of Faith was April and May 2013 for 4 weeks. God has envisioned, encouraged, challenged, healed and united us as the family of God. We foretasted a little of his full picture of a movement with a lifestyle of community, worship and intercession; an exciting opportunity! (These are some of us, testimonies video clips)
1. DATES 2. WHO: Whoever wants to be part of laying the faith foundation to redeem and restore the inheritance of Rees Howells. (If you are a couple, you may not have your own room. It will depend on availability of accommodation ) 4. CONTACTS: Qday LEE
