European countries divided ahead of Palestinian statehood bid

On Thursday, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas plans to ask the U.N. General Assembly to recognize Palestine in the West Bank, Gaza and east Jerusalem, areas Israel captured in the 1967 Mideast war. Israel withdrew from Gaza in 2005, but still controls most access.

The Palestinians expect some two-thirds of the General Assembly's 193 members will accept Palestine as a non-member observer state. The vote will not change the situation on the ground, yet the Palestinians still say it is significant.

The United States and Israel are strongly opposed, saying they fear it will only slow progress toward a peace deal. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has been lobbying Western countries, particularly in Europe, in hopes of presenting a broad international consensus against Israel. The international boost will also help him in his rivalry with Hamas, which gained popularity with Palestinians after battling Israel during eight days of fighting earlier this month.

Two-thirds of U.N. member nations have already recognized the state of Palestine.

IN FAVOR OR LEANING THAT WAY:

-- FRANCE: Yes. Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius made the announcement before parliament. "In any case, it's only through negotiations -- that we ask for without conditions and immediately between the two sides -- that we will be able to reach the realization of a Palestinian state," Fabius said Tuesday.

-- CHINA: Yes. The foreign minister reaffirmed support for Palestinian aspirations at the U.N. during a meeting last Friday with a Palestinian envoy.

-- SPAIN, NORWAY, DENMARK and SWITZERLAND: All announced Wednesday they would vote yes. The Swiss government called a change in status "both constructive and pragmatic."

-- AUSTRIA: Yes. Martin Weiss, the foreign ministry spokesman, said Austria decided to vote for the resolution after it became clear there would be no common EU position.

-- INDIA: Yes.

-- GREECE: Yes.

-- IRELAND: Yes. Ireland, which has long sympathized with the Palestinians, said it also would vote in favor of progressing the Palestinian Authority's claims to statehood. "The government hopes very much that this measured advance at the United Nations will encourage the Palestinian people that they are slowly coming towards their goal, and that their commitment to a political path and a negotiated settlement with Israel can bear fruit," government minister Shane McEntee told lawmakers in Ireland's parliament.

-- RUSSIA: Probably yes. It supported Palestinian membership in the U.N. cultural agency, UNESCO. The Russian Foreign Ministry said it "believes that the Palestinians have the right for such a move" but it added "we hope that the Palestinian leadership has well calculated possible consequences of such action."

OPPOSE, ABSTAIN OR LEANING THAT WAY

-- UNITED STATES: Opposed.

-- CANADA. Opposed. Canada is a staunch ally of Israel. Rick Roth, a spokesman for Canada's foreign minister, said any two-state solution must be negotiated and mutually agreed upon by both states. Roth said any unilateral action is ultimately unhelpful.

-- GERMANY: No or abstain. It's "very certain that Germany will not vote for such a resolution," said Chancellor Angela Merkel's spokesman, Steffen Seibert. Officials aren't saying whether that will translate into a no vote or an abstention.

-- NETHERLANDS: Probably no. "Lasting peace in the region can only be reached if Israel and the Palestinians return to the negotiating table to reach a final agreement over a two-state solution," according to a letter the foreign minister sent to parliament this week.

-- BRITAIN: Possibly abstain. The foreign secretary said Britain could support the measure only if there were a clear commitment by the Palestinians to return immediately and unconditionally to negotiations with Israel. "While there is no question of the United Kingdom voting against the resolution, in order to vote for it we would need certain assurances or amendments," said William Hague.

-- AUSTRALIA: Abstain, according to Prime Minister Julia Gillard. Her government is divided on the issue, but Gillard told Parliament "bipartisan policy across the major parties in this parliament to support Israel, to support peace in the Middle East, to support two states in the Middle East."

Floods after floods: Arthur Burt Prophecy of 1930

Arthur Burt Prophecy of 1930

Several years ago I was in Wales. I was doing an Elijah list conference. After the conference I went to North Wales, to visit an old friend, Arthur Burt. Arthur has been in the ministry for about 85 years. He was part of a tremendous revival years ago around the 1930's.

When I came back to the U.S. I called Bob Jones to see if he had any word for Wales. He said, "No, but I have a word for an old man in Wales and you were just in his house." "That must be Arthur Burt," I said as that was the only older man whose house I had been in. Bob didn’t know who Arthur Burt was at that time.

"What’s the word?" I asked. "Tell him, he will see the word," Bob said.

"He will see what word?" I asked.

"Bob said " I don’t know, you will have to ask him what word he received. He received it years ago. It was given to a group of people and they are all dead now except for him. But tell him he will see it."

So of course I called Arthur Burt in Wales. Had a conversation like this:

"Arthur, this is Kathie Walters. Did you receive a word years ago among a group of people and you are waiting to see it?"

"Yes, we did receive a word." "Good," I said, "What was the word?"

Arthur replied "They are all dead now, the people in that group, I am the only one left."

"Yes, I know Arthur; what was the word?" I asked again

"I can hear it now like it was then. I keep it in my pocket you know" Arthur said.

"ARTHUR, WHAT WAS THE WORD?" I practically yelled at him then.

This is the word that he read to me over the phone: remember that the promise to Arthur was that he would see this revival before he died. He is now 102.

GIVEN TO A GROUP (Arthur Burt was a part of this group) in 1930

"THERE SHALL COME A BREATH AND THE BREATH SHALL BRING THE WIND AND THE WIND SHALL BRING THE RAIN AND THE RAIN SHALL BRING THE FLOODS AND FLOODS AND FLOODS AND THE FLOODS SHALL BRING THE TORRENTS AND TORRENTS AND TORRENTS.

SO SHALL THEY BE SAVED LIKE FALLING LEAVES FROM THE MIGHTY OAKS SWEPT BY A HURRICANE IN A GREAT FOREST. ARMS AND LEGS SHALL COME DOWN FROM HEAVEN AND THERE SHALL BE NO EBB."

Bob Jones, speaking at a conference in 2009 [and again in 2011], said the FLOODS are movements of the Lord, the Torrents have to do with the end time revival of a BILLION people which the Lord told Bob about in 1975.

A Torrent is a river in extreme flood that cannot be stopped. The parallel of a word being given to a man who is very old, who is told he won't die before the word comes to pass is the story of Simeon in the gospel of Luke, chapter 2.

Dovetail Ministries are pleased to be organising this event again in partnership with the Emmanuel Centre and Pastor Peter Loo. Our heart is to demonstrate a strong support for Israel, recognizing her central role in God’s end-time purposes.
We believe it is part of the destiny of Britain to ‘shepherd’ Israel , and in this way we will release a stream of blessing into our church and nation.

We seek to celebrate the ‘One New Man’, Jew and Gentile, which is so precious to the Lord. We invite you to be a part of this, creating a clear and united stand before heaven, as together we raise the strategic cry.....’YOUR KINGDOM COME!!!’The nations are in the melting pot as the TRUMPET has sounded, and destinies being forged. Give us ears to hear, and hearts to understand, O Lord God of Israel!!

Pastors Roy and Brenda Taylor will be steering the event with varied and powerful input, but most of all, with a sensitivity to give way to the Holy Spirit’s leading.. They will seek to guide us through the weekend with wisdom and discernment. Expect great worship, teaching and spontaneous calls for involvement and interaction.

David and Karen Davis join us from Mt. Carmel, where David is Senior Pastor and Karen worship leader. With keen prophetic insight and a heart for both Jew and Gentile, their ministry in the Word and worship is powerful and unique.

David Hathaway has an international Ministry which reaches out to Israel and the Jewish people to share his love, God’s truth and the restoration message. He is dynamic and sincere and has a rich anointing which is evident in both his missions and his platform ministry. We are delighted to have him as part of the team.

Dennis Greenidge(Worldwide Mission Fellowship, London), is an amazing communicator . He ministers to the Church his heart for the Jewish people, the biblical truths over Israel and God’s purposes for the land and the people.

The Sh’ma Kingdom Dancers led by Ginnie White, present anointed dances which inspire and challenge. They have a global ministry which is profoundly moving and visually compelling.

Juliet Dawn once again brings her gifts of music, worship and prophetic poetry and weaves them in and through the weekend. She carries the anointing to share God’s heart and expresses this through her various giftings which are deeply touching hearts and helping the Church to embrace the Israel message.

Our vision is that corporately and individually, we will take up the heart-cry of the Lord—that He will see our stand and will release His mercy over Israel and our nation. Please join us!

National Day of Prayer for a Year of JUBILEE in BRITAIN: 7th July_2012

7th July 2012, 7am-7pm
National Day of Prayer for a Year of JUBILEE in BRITAIN
(Repent & Redeem & Restore & Release)

About three weeks ago, when I was thinking of the Queen’s Jubilee, God told me, “Don’t focus on her Jubilee but the Jubilee of Britain. This year is the year of Jubilee in Britain.” As I thought about this further, I understood that God wants us to declare and pray for the Jubilee of Britain. Since 1948 Britain has been declining economically, territorially and morally. I believe that Britain has been enslaved spiritually.

Biblically, slaves and prisoners are released, debts are forgiven, and the land is returned when the trumpet of Jubilee is blown in the year of Jubilee. I feel God wants to release the British Isles into the fullness of His eternal purposes again, especially He wants to use her again to send out missionaries all over the world. If we really stand on this ground and declare it is Jubilee, God will turn Britain around in many ways. (Leviticus 25, Isaiah 61:1-4)

"The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord 's favour.....
They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated;
they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations."

gorge vi Just over 72 years ago, in May 26 1940, Britain was at crisis point. The war was in full swing, and a huge number of British troops were trapped on the coast of Northern France; Dunkirk. There was no way to rescue them, and the Germans were advancing. Then something amazing happened:

King George VI called for a National Day of Prayer to be held on 26th May. In a national broadcast he instructed the people of the UK to plead for Divine Intervention. Together with members of the Cabinet, the King attended Westminster Abbey whilst literally millions of people across the British Isles flocked to churches to join in prayer seeking deliverance. Nothing like it had ever been seen before in our country, or indeed in any country, with people queuing to get into churches pleading for help.”
(Taken from “Why We Should Remember” by Rev. J. Willans, available on http://www.ensignmessage.com/shouldremember.html)

The result was astounding. Three miracles then happened: (1) Hitler stopped his general advance, (2) a storm of extraordinary fury grounded the German Air Force on May 28, and (3) a great calm settled over the English Channel for several days. 335,000 men of the British army were evacuated from Dunkirk! Defeat and invasion of Britain was averted. And who can imagine what life in Europe would be like for us if they hadn't been?

dunkirk1940 We know from the history of the people of Israel that they were released from their Babylonian captivity after 70 years by God and through the intercession (REPENTANCE) of Daniel who understood God's promise and his timing, and took action by faith (Daniel 9:2-19). I believe we now need to STAND together with understanding of God's heart with repentance and BLOW the trumpet as a prophetic action for a year of Jubilee.

So I am proposing a National Day of Prayer on 7th July, from 7am to 7pm, in REPENTANCE with fasting if you can, to see this nation turned around as it was 72 years ago, so that God may redeem and restore her spiritual inheritance as well as release her into her destiny.

HOW to STAND TOGETHER?

1. FASTING & REPENTING, 7am - 7pm
2. GATHERING at your own local churches or homes
3. DECLARING a Year of JUBILEE & BLOWING trumpets at 12pm and 7pm
4. CORPORATIVE GATHERING at Emmanuel Centre, Marsharm Street, Westminster, SW1P 3DW, London,
11am - 2pm and 6-7pm
