Grave to Great
Then David said to him, "How did the matter go? Please tell me." And he answered, "The people have fled from the battle, many of the people are fallen and dead, and Saul and Jonathan his son are dead also." So David said to the young man who told him, "How do you know that Saul and Jonathan his son are dead?" ….. "He said to me again, 'Please stand over me and kill me, for anguish has come upon me, but my life still remains in me.' "So I stood over him and killed him, because I was sure that he could not live after he had fallen. And I took the crown that was on his head and the bracelet that was on his arm, and have brought them here to my lord." (2Samuel 1:4-5, 9-10)
We love to say what people want to hear. But sometimes we need to say what people need to hear although they don't want to hear it. There were two men. These two men came out of deadly battle fields. One man brought good news but he was killed. The other man brought bad news but it took him into amazing victory. Isn't grave news great news?
1. Great news became grave news
A man brought to David great news of Saul's death who had been pursuing him to kill him. He reported that he had killed Saul, but actually he didn't kill him (1 Samuel 31:4). He thought if he said he killed him, he would be rewarded and promoted but he was killed instead, because he didn't know about David's heart for king Saul and Jonathan (2 Samuel 1:14-16).
2. Grave news became great news
Another man brought very upsetting news to Abram, that his nephew had been taken into captivity by four powerful foreign kings. It was terrible news for Abram but he knew that Abram needed to hear about it. As a result Abram took 318 men and his allies, and pursued them. In the end, Abram defeated the kings and brought back all the people and possessions including Lot.
3. If we don't understand the heartbeat, we might be grave news to the people
One man brought good news to David but it turned into a terrible tragedy. Another man brought bad news to Abram but it triggered an incredible victory. If we don't understand the heart of man, the good news may bring terrible tragedy. If we do understand the heart of God, even terrible news may bring a great victory. The death of Jesus was the most tragic, grave news to his disciples but it became the greatest, incredible good news to those who follow him.
4. Is grave news really great news?
In the U.K., many people have lost their homes and other properties due to heavy rain and floods in recent months. Leaders of the country don't know what to do about it. We are hearing grave news everyday: international financial crisis, civil wars, terrorism, suicide bombings, inflation, sanctions, exploitation, genocide, human trafficking, famine, flood, gales, hurricanes, tsunami, heat, cold, earthquake.... Although all this news brings doom and gloom to us, these signs are confirming what already has been foretold to us in the Bible as the last days are coming. Even many Christians are living in fear because of the sign of the number of the Beast.
5. Is New-Cold War happening between Russia and USA?
Nowadays we are seeing a new-cold war picture in the world. Russia, China, Iran, Egypt, even Germany are coming together. The USA has lost already its grip over this world. A naval drill began in the Mediterranean Sea on January 25th 2014, involving the Russian Navy's heavy nuclear-powered missile cruiser Petr Velikiy and the Chinese Navy's frigate Yancheng. This is the first time such an interaction between the two countries' Navies has been held. This new cold war is not about ideology but spiritual and prophetic in nature, although it looks as if it is religious, political, ethnical, patriotic. The new world order is being established and the Internet system is really helping their control. In the end they will try to control and persecute true Christians and Jews who serve the true God. Some of us will be not only persecuted but also killed for Jesus' sake, as we are seeing happen in some parts of the world now. However, he is coming soon, as he has said, and as it has been written.
6. These signs are grave to the world but great to us
If we know who we are in Christ and who he is, it is impossible to live in fear of the Beast nor these situations. Instead we are anticipating the Bridegroom's arrival. If we don't know we are the Bride and don't know the Bridegroom, we might be worried and terrified by these signs. However, these grave signs are leading us to the substance of God and the purpose of God. These signs are grave to the world but great to us.
[ Arthur Burt's Prophetic word in 1930 ]
“There shall come a breath and the breath shall bring the wind and the wind shall bring the rain and the rain shall bring the floods and floods and the floods and the floods shall bring the torrents and torrents and torrents. So shall they be saved like falling leaves from the mighty oaks swept by a hurricane in a great forest. Arms and legs shall come down from heaven and there shall be no ebb.”

7 Korean young people and a teacher were with us for two months in Wales. God had been challenging and encouraging in various ways; meditating and sharing the word of God, eating and meeting, resting and trusting, receiving and releasing, praying and fasting, worshipping and interceding, laughing and weeping, etc.. They have been growing not only physically but also spiritually. Sometimes it is tearful and sometimes joyful but everyday is wonderful. God is forging not only them but also us. We are praying that Jewish youth and other youth may come in to this Forge journey for the Kingdom's purpose. We all went to London and Cambridge to look around for five days. God provided our wonderful accommodation and unexpected Korean dinners. Three young guys decided to stay on with us and we are still journeying together. Hannah who stayed with us for six months and Seong Young who stayed with us for a year, left for Korea with a transformed mind and lifestyle of faith walk. Thank you so much for your prayers and support in many ways; cooking, sharing, driving, playing and praying, etc..
Juwon's Testimony from the Youth Forge: “Since I came to Wales I think I grew up spiritually and physically. Every day we had meditation time and sharing time. Spending time like this, it could seem like it's a waste of time. But I think I grew up while I just had time with God even if I didn't notice it at that time. I realized the importance of thinking about what things I should repeat and what I shouldn't. And I learned how to listen God's heart beat. I believe it is God's plan that I'm standing right here and you are here with me, and I'm very grateful about it. I'm thankful to meet everyone we have met here in Wales, and I'm thankful for the experiences that I had. Thank you for being with me, and thank you the Forge family.”

[ Place All on the Altar! ] Later on I called my younger son Yohan to come to the Blue Room with me because his conception and birth are deeply related to our journey of faith. I took a couple of photos of him in the room and I saw a card on the top of fire place. As soon as I looked at it, God spoke to me loudly and firmly. “Place All on the Altar!” On that card there were a few Bible scriptures and this hand writing. Only this sentence jumped out to me and convicted me. Later on I found that a lady sent this card last November from Penllergaer area. Isn't it interesting? One day I heard “Go back to the Beginning!” and the next day “Place All on the Altar!”
