This is Our Choice: God’s Perspective or Man’s Perspective
(UN vote regarding Palestinian State on 20th September 2011)

Rahab Chose the Worst

Rahab faced three choices when two Israeli spies came to her house. She could have reported to the Jericho government to be patriotic or could have treated them as just customers to get some money. But she hid them, risking her life and becoming a betrayer of her own people, because she knew the God of Israel and saw that history was advancing on the side of Israel.

Two Disciples Left John to Follow Jesus

One day, two disciples of John the Baptist decided to leave him in order to follow Jesus when John testified that Jesus was the Lamb of God and declared that he was the Son of God. They left their teacher because they realised John's time had come to an end and recognised Jesus was the Messiah whom they were waiting for.

Rees Howells' Intercession for Israel

Rees Howells interceded for Israel's destiny to be fulfilled from the time he was saved until he passed away, even though there was no nation of Israel at that time, because through the Bible he understood the importance of Israel in terms of God's eternal purpose.

Not through Political Windows but a Biblical Perspective
There was a time when I was not interested in the conflict of the Middle East and Israel because I didn't know its importance in God's eternal purpose. I am not talking about secular or political or even religious Israel but biblical Israel. I am not encouraging people to worship Israel but to understand biblical Israel and her role  and position in the purpose of God.

Many people pursue their own benefit or follow their groups' opinions or religious tradition or are led by political issues or the mass media's direction. We, however, have to understand the biblical perspective and apply it in our prayers and decision making. We should learn to observe history, not through political windows but through a biblical perspective.

John the Baptist is speaking to us: “Look! The Lamb of God!” (John 1: 29 & 36). We need to look at the Lamb of God. Also Jesus is speaking to us: “From the days of John the Baptist until now, the Kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it.” (Matthew 11:12). Therefore we have to join the forceful movement of God which is beyond nations, denominations, and groups. The Apostle Paul is saying, “I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved.” (Romans 11:25-26a). Whatever we are seeing Israel now, she will be saved according to God's eternal plan and purposes.

Palestinian State Only the First Step to Destruction of Israel

The aim of the Arab and other Islamic nations is not merely to set up a Palestinian State but to wipe out Israel in the promised land, as the Iranian president has declared recently in a speech to worshippers on International Qods day, an annual event to support the PA cause......see article below. There are about 1 million Arabs living in Israel. Currently they enjoy many of the benefits of life in a democratic state, including the right to vote and to stand for election, although of course there are also some restrictions upon their freedom.

The PA (Palestinian Authority) is making a bid to the UN for a recognised independent state of Palestine in the PA controlled areas of Israel, with the old city of Jerusalem as its capital. The vote will take place on 20th September. A UN recognition of a Palestinian state with the borders that they are demanding would be in violation of the terms of the ceasefire with Jordan in 1949, which is signed by the US and European Powers of the day. Giving legitimacy to the PA claims for these territories, especially Jerusalem, would simply be a stronger platform from which to work towards their ultimate aim: the annihilation of the nation of Israel.... see article below

21 Days & 3 Days Prayer and Fasting
I would like to stand to fulfil God's eternal purpose here on earth through Israel and in Israel. Why don't we pray and fast for 20th September's decision to be made rightly and justly? Esther and her maids prayed and fasted and miracles took place. Daniel prayed and fasted and God's angels were released.

I am proposing 21 days of prayer and fasting, starting 31st August and ending on 20th September, the day of the vote. I myself will be doing a partial fast of 2 meals a day, eating only in the evening. Please join me in praying 3 times each day during the 21 days: breakfast time, midday and evening. Let me know where you are geographically so I can connect up people in the same area to pray together. The last 3 days, 18th, 19th and 20th September will be an “Esther” fasting and prayer time. If you would like to join this also please let me know so we can stand together.

Amazing Breakthrough in Intercession in Jerusalem
We had a very interesting experience in Jerusalem this August. We 7 Koreans were with Sukkat Hallel for a few days, which is one of the 24/7 prayer houses in Jerusalem. The leaders of Sukkat Hallel, Rick & Patti were organising an Israeli/Arab Christian youth conference in Tel Aviv on 14th to 16th August 2011.

76 Arab young people from the Bethlehem area requested permits to travel to Tel Aviv to attend this conference. On 10th August, we received a phone to tell us that only 14 of those had been granted, and the other 62 rejected. We gathered with the other prayer warriors and prayed from midday to 2pm. We received scriptures: Psalm 118:22-24, 2Kings 6:15-17, Exodus 14:13-20. We felt that God was saying he would make the rejected ones his capstones. One of the ladies saw warring angels being released from the throne room of heaven.

While we were praying, (at 1pm) the Arab pastor supervising the young people who applied for permits got a phone call from a friend of his, who happens to be an Israeli general, in charge of security for the Israeli border. He was on holiday, but the pastor told him about the 62 applicants who had just been rejected. 10 minutes later, the pastor received a phone call from the officer in charge of permits who promised that the applications would be reviewed again the next day. This is unheard of. All the applicants were granted their permits the following day.

We don't want to be played by the Father of Lies but to see God's Kingdom's invasion by the love of God among Jews and Arabs. His Kingdom is greater than the Middle East and we will be all part of it as brides of the Lamb. His love is greater than any hatred.

“After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: ‘Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.’ ” (Revelation 7:9-10)

Shalom!

NOTE 2
”Palestinian state' is only the first step to the destruction of Israel.” - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinijad -
From Virtual Jerusalem ; Date Posted: 2011-08-26 14:50:02  http://www.virtualjerusalem.com/news.php?Itemid=4588

As Palestinian Authority officials prepare to make their statehood bid at the United Nations in September, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinijad said Friday the creation of a 'Palestinian state' was only the first step to the destruction of Israel.

Ahmadinejad, restating the position he outlined after taking office in 2005, said Israel was a "tumor" to be wiped off the map and urged Arabs in PA administered areas not to settle for a two-state solution, but to strive for a complete return of what they consider their land.

"Recognizing the Palestinian state is not the last goal. It is only one step forward towards liberating the whole of Palestine," Ahmadinejad told worshippers at Friday prayers on international Qods Day -- an annual show of support for the PA cause.

"The Zionist regime is a center of microbes, a cancer cell and if it exists in one iota of Palestine it will mobilize again and hurt everyone."

"It is not enough for them to have a weak, powerless state in a very small piece of Palestine. They should unite to establish a state but the ultimate goal is the liberation of the whole of Palestine," he said.

"I urge the Palestinians never to forget this ideal. Forgetting this ideal is equal to committing suicide. It would be giving an opportunity to an enemy which is on the verge of collapse and disappearance."

Ahmadinijad's comments echo those of the long-Iranian underwritten Hamas terror organization in Gaza that has said any peace agreement with Israel would only serve as a prelude to war.

Iran reportedly significantly reduced - or even cut - its aid to Hamas in recent weeks due to the terror organization's refusal to endorse the crackdown of Iranian ally President Bashar Assad in Syria. Nevertheless, Iran continues to be a driving force behind Hamas and Hizbullah in its proxy war against Israel.

NOTE 3
13th September would you please join us on that day at 2pm at the Welsh Assembly buildings in Cardiff to pray that our Nation to align with the word of God regarding Israel.
The Palestinian Authority has sought support to ask the UN to recognise them as an official state. The 15-member UN Security Council needs to recommend statehood to the General Assembly. If it does, then a vote on membership by its 193 members could take place on 20 September. Approval requires a two-thirds majority - or 128 votes. Currently 122 countries are said to recognise “Palestine” but the Palestinian Arabs hope they would gain the support of up to 150.

The permanent members of the UN Security Council are China, Russia, France, UK and US. The US and the UK could prevent the General Assembly vote because it has veto power as a permanent Security Council members. In February, the US vetoed a resolution, which was co-sponsored by 130 countries, condemning Israeli settlements in the so called “Palestinian territories” as an obstacle to peace.

This time around, the Palestinian Arabs are hoping to persuade the US to at least abstain. As a back-up, the Palestinian Arab leadership are exploring other possible legal options. These include a loophole created by a 1950 resolution, which may allow the Security Council to be bypassed on issues of "world peace". This is despite the fact that, as the weekend has shown with over a hundred rockets being fired at Israel, the Palestinian Arabs themselves are the obstacle to peace in Israel.

Joel Chapter 3 verse two makes it very clear that the Judgement for the Nations is in regard to Israel and specifically regarding the division of the land. Yeshua enforces this with His teaching regarding the Sheep and Goat Nations in Mathew Chapter Twenty Four. So there is a great deal at stake not for Israel but the Nations and our Nation included.

You can help our Nation by standing in the gap as Daniel did and praying. On 13th September believers throughout Europe will be visiting their Parliaments to pray. Many will attend an event in Parliament in London. We in Wales have historically had a special relationship with Israel through our Bible believing Fathers who stood with Israel and the word of the Prophets.

Men such as Rees Howells prayed for the establishment of Israel in accordance with the word of God. Despite the fact that the Assembly is in recession on 13th September would you please join us on that day at 2pm at the Welsh Assembly buildings in Cardiff to pray that our Nation to align with the word of God regarding Israel. Would you also Canvas your MP and Assembly member to request the UK Government to veto the UN vote.

If you need more details would you please e-mail me or go to the Christians for Zion Web site which will have regular updates in regard to this time of prayer. After the meeting in Cardiff there will b e a further meeting in Cardiff at the “Whitchurch community centre”, Old Church Road, CH14 1AD between 7-9pm to hear a presentation regarding Israel and Wales and to ask the question-Should Wales Bless Israel? Would you please join us.

For more details please ring me at 01352 740408.

A flyer for that meeting is attached.

Love to you all in Yeshua
